Mike Wielgus, Jr. holds a Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He is entering his ninth year of teaching at a metro-east middle school. For six of those nine years, Mike taught science and fell in love with thunderstorms...big, small, loud, gray, whatever...when the tornado sirens blare and his family huddles in the basement, Mike goes out into the street with his camcorder. Call it stupid, call it weird, he calls it passion.
Mike is passionate about many things. He coaches baseball and assists with his children's recreational baseball and soccer teams. He is Media Director for a local baptist church where he is an ordained deacon and webmaster. It is this passion, attention to detail, and creative energy that allows Mike to be successful in many different avenues.
After being called upon many times for video projects, web design, graphic design, logo design, etc., Mike decided to launch Thunderstorm Multimedia in the fall of 2001. In the spring of 2006, Mike decided to focus on wedding videography and he hasn't had time to look back. Business has been wonderfully busy.
